This photo was taken in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

The day I took this photo my mother and I, both named Raven were driving a 36 ft RV across the country. We planned to drive down this road and when we came to the point where the pavement ended knew full and well that it would be appx 27 miles before the asphalt picked up again. We stopped there to consider our confidence in the rig, confidence in the road and our resources. As we pondered these things a raven landed on the fence post next to us. She turned her head, looked us dead in the eye and then took off flying directly above the road leading into the ravine before us. We took that as a sign to follow. When you are both named Raven it is hard not to take signs from other ones. This photo was taken just a few miles before we met the pavement again.
